Stop writing product descriptions that read like a boring list of features. If you want people to whip out their credit cards, you have to make your product sound irresistible. This is more than “This shirt is blue, cotton, and size medium.” Nobody gives a fuck about that, at least not first.
Think like a customer: What’s in it for them? Instead of just listing facts, paint a picture. Maybe it’s “Feel cool and confident in a shirt that never loses its shape, even after a wild night out.” You’re not just selling fabric. You’re selling a feeling, a result, a little fantasy.
Keep it punchy. Use active words. Instead of “Our blender has a 500-watt motor,” hit them with “Crush ice and whip up smoothies in seconds, every time.” Make it clear why your product is the thing that solves their problem or makes life better.
Always address pain points or desires. If your wallet is ultra-slim: “No more pocket bulges or fumbling at checkout, just smooth moves and style.” If your service saves time, tell them exactly how many minutes or headaches it cuts out.
Finally, end with a nudge: “Ready to level up your mornings?” or “Grab yours before we sell out.” Make taking action feel like the obvious next move.
