Nothing kills a sale faster than getting exposed for not knowing your own product. If you can’t answer basic questions, or you stumble and guess when a client asks for details, say goodbye to credibility. People buy from sellers they trust, and they trust people who clearly know their shit.
It doesn’t matter if you’re new, solo, freelancing, or building something from scratch. If you want someone’s money, you have to know EXACTLY what you’re offering and how it solves real problems. No one expects you to know everything in the world, but you damn well better know your product inside out.
Think about it: would you hand over your hard-earned cash to someone who can’t explain what you’re paying for? Hell no. You need to know the features, the benefits, and even the limitations. When you know your stuff, you answer questions with confidence. When you don’t, you start bluffing, stalling, or overpromising, and people smell fear and bullshit a mile away.
Get obsessed with your own offer. Use it yourself. Ask real customers what tripped them up. If there’s something you don’t know, own it and find out the answer ASAP. Never fake it.
